Vacancy Description The successful candidates will be responsible for the estimating for Engineering and Ship Support activities. The candidate will need to be able to deliver documentation on time and within budget to achieve key milestones and targets. The most crucial part of the role will be to ensure continuous improvement of work processes together with developing more efficient and effective costing processes.
The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent planning and organisation ability. PC literacy is essential, particularly with MS Office packages, although training and development opportunities will be available.
The successful candidate will have completed a recognised apprenticeship and will be ideally qualified to ONC or NVQ3 level with proven experience within a Production role, preferably within a marine environment.
The candidates will be estimating. Estimators support the Planners in estimating how long things take etc. This would include things like how long it will take to take out an engine. They give this info to the planners who can then plan the project and order the materials at the right time etc.
Candidates will have an RN background.
