Reporting into the Purchasing Manager the successful candidate will undertake inventory control tasks as well as buying responsibilities. This will include the efficient ordering of products, the logging and monitoring of stock levels, range reviews, the management of slow moving lines and date control monitoring. This is within an extensive range of products and within a fast moving environment.



The role involves close liaison with the Buying Department, Sales, and Warehouse Management as well as direct contact with external suppliers.



Knowledge and Skills:

To succeed in this role you will already be an experienced Stock Controller / Inventory Manager or possibly a Buyer ideally with some of your practical experience gained within the foodservice sector. You will be familiar with computer based stock control / inventory systems with experience gained in a fast moving environment ideally where you have had exposure to seasonal fluctuations.

You will be a problem solver with a common sense approach and will be self motivated, committed to being the best and pro active in delivering improvements. You will be flexible in approach and able to adapt quickly to change and have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities.

You will possess well developed influencing and communication skills at all levels and be highly organised with the ability to deliver to deadlines. You will be solutions driven, providing creativity where required, and be attentive to detail.
