MA Philosophy and Religion

The degree is a part-time degree taught in the evenings over two years.  Students take four modules, one module each teaching term.  There are two core or compulsory modules, while the remaining two modules are of the students’ choice.  Students also submit a written Dissertation of between 12,000 – 15,000 words on a topic of their own choice.

  • Philosophy of Religion (Core);
  • Twentieth Century Religious Thought (Core);
  • Principles of Christian Ethics;
  • Ethical Issues Today;
  • Medical and Sexual Ethics;
  • Selected Themes in European Philosophy;
  • The Franciscan Spiritual Tradition;
  • Unity and Diversity in Islamic Thought.
